The Angus Barrett Saddlery Sweet Iron Western D Snaffle Bit features a barrel-jointed mouthpiece and independent movement in the bit bars. The barrel joint limits the nutcracker action of conventional snaffle bits and spreads pressure over a larger area.
Sweet Iron bits will rust due to oxidisation of the metal, creating the sweet taste they are designed to have. This sweet flavour will work to increase salivation and encourage acceptance of the bit.
This snaffle bit also has copper through the roller to promote a moist mouth and a relaxed jaw for the horse.
This is a soft bit, ideal for riders who are looking for a direct feel and for young horses with a busy mouth.

He loves this bit, takes it up straight off. No head shaking while standing at rest or while riden. Best investment I've made. So many different trainers said it was just him, found a new trainer - agreed it was definitely the bit.
