The ever so cool Tie-Up Halter

This product came about because Angus had always used an old girth as a neck tie and a rope halter as a combination when teaching young horses to tie up (the rope halter to take the initial pressure and the old girth to take the load and help prevent injury to the poll).

He found the use of two leads awkward and inconvenient, so designed this new Tie-up Halter to do the job of both the neck tie and the rope halter.

It is a product which is designed to do the upmost to protect your horses' pressure points, with a 50mm protective leather pad along the poll and on the nose pad to distribute pressure and prevent rubbing.

Our Tie-Up Halter is adjustable on both sides so that the leather pad on the poll strap remains centered, ensuring that it fits neatly between the ears on the pressure point of the poll. There are also two buckles on the nose band for even adjustment, so that the halter can be used on different size horses from a young horse through to an older horse.

Recent improvements to our original design include the use of a seriously heavy duty chrome leather sourced out of Europe especially for our hobbles and handling range, and a new and extremely strong load-binder webbing.

Team it with one of our lead ropes, made from Australian-made yachting rope (and a bowline knot), and you have a super quality product that will give you comfort and reliability when training young horses to tie up for the first time.
