Station Breastplate - Fully Stitched - Natural Leather

The Angus Barrett Saddlery Station Breastplates are made from first-grade skirting leather and are designed to attach to an Australian stock saddle.

Our Breastplates are designed to fit the average horse, from 13-16h.  Angus makes the Breastplates tight to hold the saddle.  If you have a horse with an extra large or extra small frame, please contact us before purchasing.

Maker's Notes

The Breastplates feature a solid brass or stainless steel ring in the centre of the chest. This allows a good attachment point for your martingale rings or rope.

The Breastplates also come with an interchangeable end, allowing you to attach either a clip-to-girth or a loop attachment to the end. All of our Breastplates come standard with a clip-to-girth, but if you require a loop attachment, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This Breastplate is fully stitched for a striking look and extra strength.

The Breastplates are available in Natural or Dark Natural Leather with your choice of brass or stainless steel hardware. 

Care

Before the Breastplates leave the workshop, they are hand finished by Angus and his team with a treatment that is designed to specifically enhance and protect that product. We work to ensure that all Angus Barrett Saddlery products are ready for work or show.

The Station Breastplate is made from first-grade bridle leather that has been oiled and is ready for use.

With use, if the Station Breastplate becomes dry, we recommend using a surface leather dressing, like the Angus Barrett Leather Dressing, to condition it.

We recommend that you do not use any oil to care for your Angus Barrett leather product.

Cleaning
If the Station Breastplate requires cleaning, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Please note that most leather products will darken with age, use and after dressing
