Ringers Leather Knife Belt

The “Ringers Leather Belt” design originated from a bull strap, which ringers use to tie up bulls. Ringers would wear this strap as a belt so that it was always at hand.

The Ringers Leather Knife Belt is made from the same chrome tanned leather that we use to make our hobbles, but it been further enhanced with a veg re-tan to give the belt a soft outer texture. The chrome tan gives the leather a strong core, whilst the softness from the veg tan makes the belt comfortable to wear. Angus had this leather specifically made for this particular belt.

The leather belt has been double stitched with a heavy thread for additional strength and durability.

The buckle is solid brass with a stainless steel pin to withstand additional load or force. The belt also features a brass oval shaped ring where you tuck the tail of the belt in for a neat and clean finish.

We have developed a tool in-house to shape the buckle slightly inwards to the shape of your body. This stops the buckle from kinking out.

Please Note: The pocket knife pouch is designed to be very tight, so that it can mould to the shape of your knife over time. If you find that it is too tight to begin with, we recommend using a blunt object to push your knife in and out a few times until the leather begins to settle. 

This leather belt has been designed for hard work and will stand the test of time.

The Angus Barrett Saddlery Ringers Leather Belt has been oiled before leaving our workshop, with a blend that is specifically formulated to enhance and protect the leather. This leather belt will not need any additional oil, and Angus does not anticipate that it will need any ongoing care.

However, if you notice that the leather does become dry from being exposed to the elements, you can apply a surface leather dressing, such as the Angus Barrett Saddlery Leather Dressing.

Please Note: That this particular leather may lighten with age. If your leather product needs to be stored in a bag, we recommend that you use a breathable bag, such as a canvas bag, not a PVC bag.

Cleaning
If your leather belt requires cleaning, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Our Ringers Knife Belt is 38mm wide to suit most work jeans and it features an open end knife pouch to keep your pocket knife safe, secure and close to hand. This knife pouch is designed to fit a medium size 3 blade pocket knife like our Robert Klaas knives.

IMPORTANT: Angus Barrett Saddlery belts are based on literal measurements. The size given is the measurement from the tip of the buckle tongue to the middle hole.
