The Station Bridle is a classic in the Angus Barrett Saddlery range and with the classics, usually comes a good story (Angus loves to tell a story or two and let me tell you he's got a few!). Angus first started doing leather work plaiting through school, and the first solid leather products he made were bridles. The first Angus Barrett Saddlery Station Bridle was born at Rockhampton Downs Station in 1998.
Station Bridles are also known as a Barcoo Bridle to many riders in the stock horse community. They are an iconic Australian design intended for both work and competition.
The Station Bridle is very adjustable. It has 5 holes for adjustment in the throat latch and 7 holes for adjustment in each cheek strap. They are designed to fit the average horse from 13hh to 16hh. If your horse has a particularly large or small head, please get in touch with us. We make extra parts that are sold separately for these situations.
The range of leather station bridles are available in natural or dark natural leather, in plain, fully stitched or braided brow with solid brass or stainless steel hardware.
