Angus always says the best thing for your new leather product is to use it! This is because when you use the product, it helps to loosen the fibres in the leather and it brings out the embedded oils, which in turn conditions the surface of the leather.
Every leather product that comes out of our workshop has been oiled and conditioned so that it is ready to use and in fact, we recommend that you do not apply any more oil to our products because you can over-oil leather.
If one of our leather products does get to a point where it is starting to become dry, we recommend applying a good quality, surface leather dressing, like our Angus Barrett Saddlery Leather Dressing.

How to apply the leather dressing
To apply the dressing, you simply place a small amount on your fingers and massage it into the leather. You may wish to test it on an inconspicuous area first.
