What size leather dog collar do I need?

Angus Barrett Saddlery have a range of quality Australian made leather working dog collars available but choosing the right one for your dog can be a bit tricky.

In the video below, Angus shows us the difference between each size and what dog they would suit best.

We have three different sizes in terms of the width in the working dog collar range; 16mm, 25mm and 32mm wide dog collars. Both the 16 and 25mm collar have a swage buckle with a single D ring. All of the hardware on the working dog collars is stainless steel. These dog collars are made in Australia from a heavy duty chrome leather.

The 32mm is a much stronger, heavier dog collar. The 16 and 25mm collars would suit small dogs or a cat, in particular the 16mm which would be perfect for a Fox Terrier or Jack Russell. The 25mm would be good for a Kelpie.

The 32mm would suit a working cattle dog or a larger dog like a St Bernard.

The 16 and 25mm wide dog collars come in one size, and the 32mm wide is available in small, medium and large.

If you're looking for more of a dressy collar, our range of rolled dress collars would be more suitable. These collars are made from a greasy packed, vege-tanned leather that is not only durable but incredibly beautiful. These dog collars feature a solid stainless steel buckle and ring and they are available in two sizes: small and medium. Our leather dog leads have been designed to match this range of dog collar.
