Split Reins

DESCRIPTION

  • The Angus Barrett Saddlery Station Reins are traditional, split reins, with buckle joins to the bit. These are classic reins, which ride beautifully and feel fantastic.
  • The Station Reins are made from first grade harness leather and the hides used are hand-selected by Angus for their natural weight. They are split through to the bit so that when we add the buckle they don't become too heavy.

SIZING

Our Station Reins are 16mm or 5/8" wide and are available in a Light, Medium or Heavy weight.

CARE

Before the reins leave the workshop, they are hand finished with a treatment that is designed to specifically enhance and protect the product.

With use, if the Station Reins become dry, we recommend using a surface leather dressing, like the Angus Barrett Leather Dressing, to condition it. We recommend that you do not use any oil to care for your Angus Barrett leather product.

If the Station Reins require cleaning, simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Please note that most leather products will darken with age, use and after dressing.
