In recent years the way in which we all shop has evolved and so many of us now shop online. As a result of COVID-19, the bushfires and the drought, Australians have rallied to support local businesses. The support has been tremendous and so many small businesses like ours are humbled to see locals supporting locals. However, this increase in online shopping has inevitably increased the amount of packaging and waste that is going into landfill.
As a team we have made the decision to invest our time and energy into sourcing eco-friendly packaging materials. In addition to being eco-friendly they will also protect our products in transit keeping them beautifully packaged and ready to be gifted.
Here is what we have achieved so far:

We have managed to find eco-friendly options for almost all our packaging materials. We are still in search for eco-friendly sticky tape, and something that we can wrap our saddle pads in that will keep them shaped correctly and well protected from the elements during transit. If you have any suggestions for eco-friendly packaging options, we would really love to hear from you. Our email address is info@angusbarrett.com.au.
We encourage all of our customers to help make a change. Reuse post satchels and other packaging materials if you need to do a return or exchange. Put recyclable or compostable packaging materials in the recycling or compost bins.
Help us contribute to the change that needs to happen.
