Word on the street is that Orange is the new Bordeaux! According to the latest tourism figures released by Destination NSW, the Orange region is leading the way for Central NSW tourism with over 1,000,000 visitors recorded in the last calendar year. Our awesome town has been featured recently in Qantas Insider magazine, the Rex magazine, the Golf Show, Sydney Weekender, and the new Food Miles magazine (to name just a few). Orange even made it onto the new Australian edition of the Monopoly Board game, as one of only two NSW destinations and in the place of Park Lane no less!

Tonight at 7pm, Better Homes & Gardens' entire 90 min show will be about Orange, including the Orange Show and the Orange Farmers Markets,. And especially exciting for us will be a segment featuring Angus making one of our leather belts with the wonderful Tara Dennis. We're looking forward to watching tonight and hope you will enjoy the show too! Here's to all things regional and rural! And if you're thinking about your next holiday or mini-break, then find out what all the fuss is about and put Orange on your bucket list!

MAKING A BRUNETT BELT WITH TARA DENNIS

We had a brilliant day with Tara Dennis last month when she and the Better Homes & Gardens crew visited to film a segment for tonight's show. We started the day by showing Tara around our newly opened store in the CBD and talking a little about the history of Angus Barrett. We then took Tara and the crew out to our workshop and enjoyed an afternoon showing them what's involved in making our belts. We made a special belt for Tara based on our Brunett belt design. Angus and Tara had lots of fun stepping through the different processes, from choosing a raw hide, right through to splitting, edging, skiving, stitching, slicking and oiling.

It was an awesome experience making this segment with Tara and we have a new found appreciation for the huge amount of work involved in producing just a few short minutes of footage! We'd like to thank Tara and all the Better Homes & Gardens team for taking the time to visit Orange and listen to our stories. We're super proud of this town and of the Australian made products, food & wine that we produce here. Your visit to our town and your focus on our business and this region has a huge flow on effect and is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
