Canvas Gear Bag - Medium

The Canvas Gear Bag was designed by Angus when he was rodeoing. He was determined to make a gear bag that would stand up to the trials and tests of rodeo life, that could sit on the back of the ute, through the dust and the sun and be dragged from one event to the next, full of a cowboy's most precious possessions. Ten or more years later our canvas gear bags remain one of our most popular products.

The canvas: 

• The canvas gear bags are made from a canvas which is sourced, dyed and finished in Australia.
• It's a special Ripstop® canvas that is waterproof and rot resistant. It was originally designed for use in truck tarpaulins.
• The canvas is core-spun, meaning that a base yarn (in this case a polyester cotton blend) is completely wrapped by a second yarn (Ripstop® high tenacity polyester/cotton).
• Core spun yarn is 40% to 50% stronger than normally spun yarn of the same weight. 

Piping: 

• We use a polyester piping that we make in-house. This polyester material is extremely durable.
• The piping helps keep the shape of the bag and protect the bag from wear and tear.

Zipper: 

• Heavy-weight YKK zippers are used on all our bags. We then go to the extra length of piping the zipper channel with canvas. This helps to make the bag water and dust resistant. It also means that we can sew the zipper in with extra tension. This ensures that the zipper is as strong as it can possibly be
• We have added spliced, kangaroo leather pulls to the zippers for ease of opening. We choose Kangaroo leather for our zipper pulls because it is the strongest available leather by weight

Carry handles: 

• A trademark of our Angus Barrett Saddlery gear bags is that we make our handles to go right around and under the base of the bag, ensuring that they will not tear or pull out from the bag
• The webbing that we use for these handles is a heavy-duty webbing that we have specially made for us in Melbourne
• We reinforce the handle attachment points on the side of the sides of the bag with stitched leather patches, so they won’t tear from the sides of the bag over time

Double stitched: 

• For enhanced strength and durability, the internal seams and zippers of all our canvas gear bags are literally sewn twice. This bag will not let you down!

The Canvas Gear Bag - Medium measures - L: 680mm W: 340mm H: 290mm. The gear bag weighs approximately 1.3kg.
