Latigo

The Angus Barrett Saddlery Latigo is designed to fit on stock saddles, fender saddles and western saddles.

For saddles with single girth riggings, we recommend fitting a latigo to the near side of your horse, with the Angus Barrett Saddlery Girth Points on the offside.  

For saddles with 3 way riggings we recommend fitting a latigo to both the near and the off side of you saddle.

Our Latigos 1.5m long and have 13 holes for adjustment.

Maker's Notes

The Angus Barrett Saddlery Latigo is made from a very specific first grade, chrome tanned leather that has been tanned for strength and oiled for softness.

This new red leather is beautiful, easy to use and is available in two widths, 35mm and 45mm. 

Care

Before the Latigos leave the workshop, they are hand finished with a treatment that is designed to specifically enhance and protect that product. We work to ensure that all Angus Barrett Saddlery products are ready for work or show.

The Angus Barrett Saddlery Latigo is made from a first grade chrome leather that has been oiled and is ready for you to use. With use, if the belt becomes dry, we recommend using a surface leather dressing, like the Angus Barrett Saddlery Leather Dressing, to condition it.

We recommend that you do not use any oil to care for your Angus Barrett leather product.

Cleaning

If the Latigo requires cleaning, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Please note that most leather products will darken with age, use and after dressing.

If your leather product needs to be stored in a bag, we recommend that you use a breathable bag, such as a canvas bag, not a PVC bag.
